- CTA Members, do you have student loans? Confused about where to begin? You are invited to attend, “Generation Debt: Student Loan Forgiveness,” which is a 1 hour presentation that will help you better understand the loan forgiveness process. Student loans have been in deferment since March 2020 and that deferment period recently ended. This session will cover the loan forgiveness programs from the US Department of Education, ways to lower your monthly payment, process and pitfalls to be cautious of, updated policy decisions and how to utilize the “NEA Student Debt Navigator” powered by Savi, which is a tool to help association members analyze their personal student loans. CTA members will leave with a plan to address their student loans and work towards forgiveness.
